Gr 6 Excursion - Leadership Camp - by Caitlyn Miller
From September the 5th to the 7th the Gr 6's made their way to Jubaweni Leadership camp where we learned about team work and got to know our classmates better. The cabin I was in was extremely nice and clean, and the girls i shared it with were super kind and funny. The first day we got to do the obstacle course where we had to work together to get to the finishing line. There were a few injuries such as thorns in our heels and falling tires, but nothing majorly serious. That same evening we did the night march, which got creepy after a while. The next day we did the Water Olympics and we went to a dam where we had to build a mud farm. For the kids who wanted to - they could zip-line into the dam. After lunch - which was hamburgers - we did the main obstacle course where we leopard-crawled through smelly mud and had to boost each other over a high log. That night we also did a play for the teachers and after dinner we played 'stalk the lantern'. On the last day we did a game drive and we got to go on a slip and slide. The food was brilliant and I am so happy to have gotten the chance to go on it. If i could i would do it all over again.
