Senior Preparatory Design an Ad Competition

Here in Pretoria Chinese School we are well on our way creating adverts for our annual Design an Ad competition brought by Pretoria News. Most of the schools in Pretoria are participating, and it is our privilege to be a part of this creative initiative. The pupils are working on print adverts for clients such as BB Hatfield Renault, Honda, Suzuki and Mahindra, as well as EPX couriers, The Lawnmower Clinic among a few. The advert for Tiny Bakers was the quickest and the sweetest to complete, as its size was less than an A5, but the results were strikingly colourful. Here are just a few!

"Why I love ART" by Aria Sing

I love art because it lights up your life! It's very special, always unique and just wonderful! I like art because it's better than anything. You get to decorate, be creative and have fun, of course! Since the beginning of times people have been creating art and it is a part of our lives. There are things that help you know your art, like the Elements of Art - Line, Shape, Form, Colour, Value, Texture and Space! Art is a miracle. I love ART!

Chapter 7. The decision.

My time has come to make a decision. But what will it be …… I GOT IT FISH-WARS. Ok so my idea might be a little crazy but it is all I could think of. Think about it a fish humanoid with a laser blaster Sea-trooper. And think of a fish with a laser sword Darth-Fish.

Chapter 8. What to do...

OK so I thought of my idea but what comes after. I could think of the next saga or I could brain storm later… Probably later all this brain storming is enough for me. Luckily the day is almost over we are in the last period anyway.

Chapter 9. The demon cat’s.

Just when you think your day can get better you have to come home to a cat that has not had its 2^nd lunch yet. Not to mention the other one, ok ,we don’t talk about him gladly. You don’t want to see him without his 2^nd feast.

Chapter 10. The end certainly.

 

By now we are probably almost home where the demon cats lay. Not to mention HOMEWORK! Great I remembered we have Math homework today. It is the end for me while, we are busy with homework, the demon cats will strike.

Chapter 11. Hope!

My only hope to survive the demon cats is the cat food. But the cat food is so close to where the demon cats lay the only hope is a sacrifice a human sacrifice. With all my courage I bravely  volunteer Shane... he is perfect. But I fear that wont buy me much time...

When being discouraged

You should think of it not like it’s the end of the world.

It’s a chance to see what you’ve never seen before.

You have to appreciate what you still have.

 Don’t give up on life.

Inspire younger and older people.

Just try to do your best.

And notice that other people are going through something hard too.

I didn’t understand this strange piece of writing, I wanted to ask someone about it, but no one was in the room with me. Just as I decided to look around for someone, Chryselium and Eleanor came into the room. They came in arguing about something to do with training. They stopped when they saw and Eleanor asked “How are you?” She didn’t sound half interested about how I was, and kept on looking at the book. 

“I’m ok, I guess,” I muttered.

“Did you find anything,” Chryselium said.

“I found this weird piece of writing,” I said handing her the book open on the page with the scripture. Eleanor laughed. And Chryselium rolled her eyes and gave Eleanor the book. Eleanor read it. She told Chryselium what it said. The Eleanor declared supper. She lead me to a huge dining room table and I learned this. There is a big bad person and her name is Vilisty and she wants to destroy this huge landmark called The Beacon of Aria if she does the world will end. 

Our goal is to stop her.
