PCS Gala (26.01.2018) - by Gemma Jade Penning

I dived into the water; bubbles surrounded me. I love bubbles. Sorry I got side tracked. I swam the butterfly; my friend Nina swam butterfly and breaststroke. Angela swam backstroke. We all swam for the DRAGONS.

For the LIONS Chad swam back stroke and

Ziya swam breaststroke for the TIGERS.

The DRAGONS won the gala, but the LIONS won the spirit cup.

The first time I cooked for my family... by Lunathi Maseko

The first time I cooked for my family, it was a very interesting day. We were all spring cleaning the house and I was getting ready to cook dinner that night. Everyone was working and cleaning, I was freaking out! I kept worrying that I was going to mess up. I told my older brother and sister that I was going to make the best Ravioli you have ever eaten, but I was scared.

Inside I kept saying that I was if I mess up? What if I burn the house down? What if they hate it? But I had to do it, so I cooked. It took hard work. It took me very long to make the batter and to shape all of them. I made twenty of them and it took quite a long time. Each batch took 45 minutes to cook and I made two batches.
Inside each one I put the filling. My sister helped me with chicken but that ALL she helped me with! I had to roll the dough and I had to cut them one by one and put the chicken on to the first layer. Then I had to put on the second layer and I was very tired.  When they baked, I was worried that they were going to burn but they actually came out great!

Then I just made the carrot salad which had carrots, lettuce, mini tomatoes and cucumber. It was just a simple salad. Now it was time to serve the food and my heart started pumping even faster. We prayed together and then we started eating. My first bite was amazing. I really enjoyed it. My family thought it was a little crunchy but they liked it. We enjoyed it together and that’s all I wanted and in the future, I will definitely do it again!

MY FAVOURITE BOOK OF ALL Time! - By Lunathi Maseko

I love reading books. Mostly because books are the most amazing invention created. Some books are about drama, some are about horror, some books have sad stories and some are about fiction, but my all time favourite genre is drama. I love the drama section because it is interesting. My favourite book is Dork Diaries. I like Dork Diaries because it has drama. Dork Diaries is a very wonderful book and it has very great characters, like Mackenzie she plays a good roll in the book. The first book of dork diaries was “drama queen”. I unfortunately started from the last book and lost the plot of the story, but it was the first one I got.  The beginning of the story starts with Mackenzie writing a test, unaware of the bug on her head. Nikki was trying to tell her about it, but when she did, Mackenzie responded with her bratty attitude and said, “What?!”. Nikki thought it was a stink bug, and she screamed dramatically. That was the beginning of the story and my love for the series. The next series of books I look forward to reading are MAX CRUMBLE! I read the first book in the series and it was Fantastic! You can purchase it at Exclusive Books or at Takealot.com. I definitely recommend this series to drama fanatics.
