21st Century life - by Panna Moloabi

We crave the sweet feeling of being #flawless everywhere we go.
The taste lingers in our mouths almost forcing you to get some of that sweet perfection.

Today, I open my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr and 63 people have admitted they like my face.
I'm also my dream guy's the #wcw of the week,
That's the sweetest gesture known to man according to me.
I will never know the stomach-twisting feeling of being told in person that they like me because,
A simple #wcw is the next bet thing since raw feeling.

The woman down the street got murdered,
I started a #savelives campaign on Instagram for people to use as support,
We all know we aren't actually going to take action.

My Twitter account over-flows with airbrushed body's and faces but for me,
No... no, for  me that is #goals
Ghosts ridicule me each time I cry over a models body less real that they are.

On Sunday, I had lunch with my family.
The whole world NEEDS to know everything that happens during my day so I must take a #yum.

I went to the mall but 100 people seeing my #socute outfit is not enough so I must #ootd it on Twitter.

I'm too much of a wimp to tell my crush how I feel about him so instead, I choose to comment #mcm on his only post that got him 330 followers.

I've lost the quality of feeling somewhere along the line,
The only way I know how to communicate is by using emojis.
Each sentence I type contains at least one em
I've been living in such an artificial world,
I don't even know who I am or used to be but...
That's normal for everyone.
Its normal for everyone and isn't that all that matters?
Appearing normal to everyone else even though you don't know who you are...?
