The fear of being yourself - by Lindo Nkoane
Sometimes you fear of what people are going
to say about the real you. People try to mold you into this person, you
don’t even know who you are anymore and who you have become as a person. You have
this fear that if you show people the real you, they are going to turn their
backs on you. You will feel the fear of being alone, you’re too scared of
the truth, but the truth is not something impractical and hopelessly distant from
us. Sometimes being alone gives you the time to think of what kind of a person
you have changed into and what kind of person you want to be. To make your
dreams a reality, not someone else’s, be your own person. Don’t follow
someone’s path, but make your own path. Don’t copy a legacy when you can make
your own. Be unique! Be yourself.
