On the 17th of October a few of the grade 6 and 7 public speakers participated in the unprepared public speaking evening at DSG. We were welcomed and divided into our respective grades. We were then given 4 topics to choose from as well as 15 minutes to prepare. Once the time was up we then moved to different classes to present our speeches. Everyone was given a chance to present their speech while they were evaluated by a judge, who would mark them according to a rubric. After everyone had presented their eloquent speeches, we were given feed back from the judge. Each participant was given their rubric and a certificate from DSG. This was a great experience for all our public speakers, especially those new to public speaking!
