Each speaker was evaluated on their presentation and content of their speech and were given a mark. All the speeches were above standard and were presented eloquently. After everyone presented their speeches they received their rubric and certificate.
From there they were treated with a cup of hot chocolate and were able to go to the dinning hall to talk with their fellow contestants! These types of festivals are great ways to practise your speaking skills and to learn from other students.
Well done to all of you (especially the 'first timers', Olwethu and Panna). It is particularly daunting to have only a few minutes preparation time before going in front of an audience. I'm sure the WHPS boys enjoyed having the opportunity to speak to you girls!
