An Interview with Cheyenne De Sousa by Jade Kimberley du Preez

Cheyenne De Sousa on
THE WALKATHON

Did you enjoy the Walkathon, Cheyenne?
“Yes, it was really a lot of fun. I enjoyed walking with my friends and going on rides. The food was also good.”

Would you say that it’s a good experience for everyone?
“I think it is, you know. You get to hang out with friends and everything. It’s a really good way to build fellowship.”

What was your favourite part of the Walkathon and what did you enjoy most?
“I would probably say that the rides were my favourite, but I also enjoyed the walk. But definitely the rides.”

Do you think that they have events like this one at other schools?
“Not Walkathons particularly, because I have never heard people talk about something like this.”

Could our school have improved on anything?
“No, I don’t think so. I think they did really well.”

So Cheyenne, which class do you think dressed the best and why?
“I think 7M dressed the best because they had a very unique idea that I haven’t seen anyone use before and it was just such an awesome theme.”

Did you take part in any of the rides?
“Yes.”

So Cheyenne, do you think it’s important for other grades to just mingle and have fun today?

“I think it is because when there’s normal school, everybody is in their spesific groups: high school, senior prep and junior prep. However, now all the grades are apart and we can get to know each other and just chill.”

  1. I agree, the walkathon is always a highlight for the PCS children. It's just as much fun for parents because we too get to mingle while our children have fun.
