Valentines Day by: Tshifhiwa Mashele 4C

Valentines Day has past, some people just couldn’t wait to tell their crush they like them and talking about what they got but it’s just about love.
If it was raining on Valentines Day it would be really romantic. I really needed a Valentine and still didn’t get one, sometimes I wonder how it’s so easy for some people to find a Valentine and get him/her to say yes. Even my toast got a Valentine, even my Coke got a Valentine and it’s Valentine is Pepsi, are you kidding me! All of my friends got Valentines but I’m single as a Pringle. As always, my Valentine will be food...!

The Wiggily Jiggily Hippo by Ndzalama Mashele 4V

Once upon A time, long long ago lived a very happy hippo named TWIGGLY. Everywhere he went he showed-off  his moves: a boom-boom to the left a boom-boom to the right. He was always invited to parties and danced through the whole night waggle your tail in the sunlight.

It is just a boom-boom to the left a  boom-boom to the right and wiggle your tail in the moon light. TWIGGLY was the only hippo who could bust his moves and for other hippos, it was catching prey and swimming.  TWIGGLY was born this way not like other hippos. He loved to dance and help  others.

One day MR MONKEY and MR ELEPHANT had an argument about who could eat the fastest. SO on that day TWIGGLY was just passing by and saw the argument. TWIGGLY said please stop arguing about who CAN eat the fastest.  And wiggled his tail so fabulously! "Okay!", they said and shook hands to settle the score.  And that’s how TWIGGLY  fixed problems and  that’s how TWIGGLY was know as the best dancing hippo in AFRICA!

THE END.

Grade 4-7 Edu-Dome by: Rifumo Chauke

On the 16 of January 2020 the grade 4-7 went inside an Edu-Dome.
The grade 4s went first, then the grade 6 and 7s and then the grade 5s. I’m in grade 5 so I went last. When you go inside it looks very much like a galaxy. We all had to sit down or lie down [because it went all over the Edu-Dome]. When we were all settled a documentary movie started and it was about the galaxy, planets, the Milky Way and many other interesting things. They told us about how far the moon is from the Earth [which is 384 400 km]. They also told us all the dwarf planets which are Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Eris, Makemake, asteroid belt. We learnt so many things, which I wish I could tell you all about, but unfortunately there is no time or "space".

What it's like to be an identical twin! by Tarika Moodley

It's a great pleasure to be an identical twin to my sister Ternez. You have this special person by your side all the time, someone who always knows how you feel. We fight, we apologise, we laugh and we play. And these are some tips I would recommend to a parent of twins like us:

- Please dress them differently
- And don't mix our names up. We get very upset!

Me and my sister's life story:
We were born at 28 weeks, and were in ICU for three month after that, even spending our fist Christmas in hospital. My weight was a little more than a block of butter when i was born, and we were 15 cm long!! When I was 2 years old I had to have a heart surgery to close a hole in my heart... I am so happy that i have a sister, I love her very much!

Good luck for the exams!! by Ternez Moodley

Some tips for succeeding in your exams!

1. Start studying long before, early enough to have the time to write everything out, and ask questions if you don't understand something.
2. Always listen to your teacher's advice.
3. Don't fool around and waste your time, thinking you can put away the studying... it doesn't work!
4. Do what the instructions tell you to do.
5. Get enough good food, water and get enough rest to fuel your brain.
6. Good luck!!!
